亡き祖父譲りのあやかしを見る力を持っていた女子大生・津場木葵は、突然、あやかしの棲まう
隠世（かくりよ）の老舗宿「天神屋」へと攫われてしまう。戸惑う葵は、祖父の残した膨大な借金と、そのカタとして鬼神の大旦那に嫁入りをしなければならない約束が交わされていたことを知る。納得がいかない葵は婚姻をはねのけ、起死回生の策として、天神屋で働いて借金を返済するとあやかし達に宣言するのだが……。
Aoi Tsubaki, a college girl who inherited the ability to see ayakashi(spirits) from her late grandfather, is suddenly kidnapped and taken to the old traditional inn “Tenjin-ya” in the hidden world where these beings reside. Confused and bewildered, she learns that her grandfather had left behind a massive debt and had promised her hand in marriage to Oodanna who is a ogre Lord and the master innkeeper as payment. Refusing to accept this arrangement, Aoi declares to the akayashis that she will work at Tenjin-ya to repay the debt instead of marrying him.
